Meet Our Calming Serum: Your Solution for Bad Skin Days
Is your skin feeling red, sensitive, and tight? It’s time for a soothing serum for sensitive skin
Sensitive skin can appear in different forms: redness, skin that reacts to products or changes in weather, a blotchy and irritable complexion, feelings of tightness and discomfort. Altogether, waking up with skin that feels angry isn’t exactly a positive way to start the day and can make you want to dunk your head in a tub of aloe vera instead of applying makeup and going to work. But before you let it get you down, know that bad skin days are something most of us suffer from at some point. Read on to learn about why sensitive skin and bad skin days happen, and discover the soothing serum for sensitive skin that can pull you out of the angry skin trap.
Skin irritation: Why we get bad skin days
Bad skin days have a variety of causes, depending on your individual skin and what triggers it. External aggressors such as pollution, UV rays, extreme weather (from icy temps to wind), and seasonal changes can all have a negative effect and cause skin irritation. Your lifestyle impacts skin, too—an unhealthy diet, stress-filled work schedule, or not getting enough sleep can also contribute to skin sensitivity, making our faces more in need of a soothing face serum than ever.
How to combat bad skin condition

Behind our specially-formulated serum for sensitive skin
With ferulic acid, probiotic fractions, and vitamin e, the face serum Lancôme Advanced Génifique Sensitive strengthens your skin’s barrier function and soothes, protects and gives your skin a beautiful and healthy look. Here's how this soothing serum works:
- It’s enriched with potent ingredients…
The innovative formula of this serum for sensitive skin contains a cocktail of three probiotic fractions: lactobacillus, yeast, and bifidobacteria. The formula works to sooth your skin sensitivity and to help strenghten skin's moisture barrier. - The formula stays fresh in the bottle…
You first activate the formula of this anti-redness serum right before you use it, which means the ingredients stay fresh in the bottle (and for your skin) for up to a month. The activating shot of antioxidants, a mix of ferulic acid and vitamin E, evens skin tone, reduced pore visibility while firming your skin.
How to use the face serum in three steps:
A little of this soothing serum for sensitive skin goes a long way, and there's no extra benefit to overloading your skin. Here’s how to apply Lancôme’s Advanced Génifique Sensitive from the very first use.
Step 1:
To open the bottle and activate your soothing serum Lancôme Advanced Génifique Sensitive, simply push and twist the black cap clockwise to release the blue concentrate into the base. Shake the bottle until the two formulas are evenly mixed.
Step 2:
Unscrew and dispose of the black cap, and then replace with the dropper.
Step 3:
Gently shake the bottle before each use, then apply it every evening before your moisturizer for one month, even when your skin feels discomfort. This serum for sensitive skin will soothe any skin irritation and strengthen distressed skin, minimizing any blotchiness, redness or uneven skin tone, as well as smoothing fine lines to help improve the appearance of your skin.
